Carol’s Corner, hosted by Carol Tyson, is a television program that features the richness of the Washington D.C. metropolitan region. Be it Maryland, Virginia or the District of Columbia, Carol’s Corner will be there to show viewers the best in music culture, fine dining and the arts.
Carol spotlights jazz legends such as Marlena Shaw to “young lions” like trumpeter Michael Thomas. She takes you on a journey through the “Beltway Blues” highlighting the great blues singers and musicians in the region.
No stranger to the arts, and a native New Yorker, Ms. Tyson is the co-host and producer of DC’s WPFW-FM show Robyn’s Place, a radio program that is a virtual nightclub with rooms named after some of the greats in jazz and blues. Carol’s father, Earl May, world renowned jazz bassist, is the inspiration and the foundation of her great knowledge of music and culture.
